carts tossed around the parking lot
like uncooked rice spilled out onto the kitchen floor.
slush up to your shoelaces
and making its way inside your socks.
freakish love triangles involving a kid
who went to school with your sister.
people who made it in high school
but go to college and find themselves lost.
no one wants to help them.
i moved my cart out of the parking space
and into the metal thingy.
